SIDNEY SIMON
Sidney Simon was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 1917. He studied at Carnegie Tech (now Carnegie Mellon) where he was a special student between 1931 and 1936. He also attended the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts between 1936 and 1941 and the Grande Chaumiere in Paris between 1948 and 1949. He was also the founder of the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, ME.
