JULIE HELLER GALLERIES
HUGO RIZZOLI
Hugo Rizzoli began combining words and images on paper during summer and winter visits to Provincetown in the 1970s. For 20 years he owned a bookstore featuring literature and fine arts, eventually publishing a chapbook of his poems, Cape Strata in 1989, and then, with his wife, Carol, opened and ran Royal Oak House, an inn on the Chesapeake Bay.
Now living in Barnstable, Massachusetts, he pursues illusive images of sea, sky, dunes and built structures in mixed media. His work has been shown in open and juried exhibitions at the Provincetown Art Association, Sturgis Library in Barnstable and Julie Heller Gallery in Provincetown.
